Neutral Emotions

Neutral emotions are subdued, balanced states lacking strong positive or negative valence. They range from calm detachment to restless unease—like steady breathing or fidgeting—with a mind that’s passive, lucid, or unstimulated. Triggered by routine, disengagement, or rest, they include relaxation, boredom, and clarity. Examples: sinking into a couch, staring at a clock, nodding at a solution.
